Sooo, can you tell yet? I'm trying to catch up on life...oh ya know...just the last like 6 months of it. no biggie. :)
After T-dub got home from deployment he got 2 weeks of "Recon"...interpreted: 2 whole weeks to spend with ME!!! Yippeee! The next couple posts will be of our "o' fun". We went to a float festival, spent a few nights in downtown Tokyo, went to Hakone, about 3 hours away. It's a national park, know for it's different modes of transportation you can travel around on. It was fun to just be together, felt like we were kids with no responsibilities. :) late morning wake-ups, lazy afternoons and plenty of sushi and ramen...which he had missed desperately.
Float Festival - comparable to battle of the bands or a dance off, traditional Japanese style. Floats are pulled by people, even small children, throughout the streets. They meet one another in the middle of the road play a little tune and have a dancer that is keeping the tempo and mood for the band's music. really quite entertaining. to date, this festival had the most Asians we have ever seen. ever.
love you to kisses, honey.
home sweet chu-hi.
standard festival: coated bananas on a stick

TOMS have made their way to Japan I see.
